INTRODUCTION

Centre for Information Technology as known as Pusat Teknologi Maklumat (PTM) consists of the following divisions:

ICT VISION

To be an innovative ICT center in supporting research,teaching & learning by providing the state-of-the-art technology.

ICT MISSION

To provide and support up-to-date, quality ICT facilities to fulfill customer's requirements.

ICT OBJECTIVES

To develop an organization with authority and expertise to plan and fulfill ICT requirements.
To identify and meet ICT requirements based on current development.
To provide and maintain ICT services effectively.
To protect ICT services from intrusion and hacking activities.
To improve and encourage effective usage of ICT facilities.

ROLES AND FUNCTIONS

Monitor the implementation of Universiti Malaya's Information Technology policies.
Formulate strategies and oversee the setting up of the cyber campus.
Provide Information Technology equipment and facilities to the campus community.
Provide training courses in Information Technology for the community both inside and outside campus.
Develop and implement computerised administrative systems for the Central Administration.
Support the academics in Research and Development work.
Provide helpdesk services to Personal Computer users.
Provide Personal Computer maintenance service.
