How To set UMMail in IPHONE

UMMAIL In IPHONE :

To configure your iPhone or iPod touch to access UMMAIL, follow these steps:

  1. On your iPhone or iPod touch's home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Other.

  1. Make sure that:
 
• 
 That either IMAP or POP tab is highlighted, for this guide we go with IMAP configurations
 
• 
 "Incoming mail server" Host Name is ummail.um.edu.my
 
• 
 "Outgoing mail server" Host Name is smtp1.um.edu.my
 
• 
 User Name is your ummail username , same goes with Password which is your ummail password.
 
• 
 For PerdanaMail users, please use your full PerdanaMail address as the username (ie. username@perdana.um.edu.my).
  1. Tap Save.
  2. After that you will be prompt for using account without SSL and tap "ok".
  3. And you're done (refer picture below for graphical info).

  1. For those who have problems sending emails please :
 
• 
 Goto Mail advance settings
 
• 
 Change your outgoing server to smtp4.um.edu.my
 
• 
 Change the port to 587
